NASA is planning to launch their ninth Discovery mission in June 2007. The mission, called DAWN, will study in-depth the two largest asteroids in our solar system, Ceres and Vesta.
Until November 4, 2006, NASA is collecting names to burn onto a microchip and attach on the DAWN vehicle.
Visit the mission web site http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/ and click on the "submit names " banner (or the "Get Involved" tab) in order to submit your name. |
